Gauntlets

A choice of two gauntlets: one holding a shield decorated with your family crest, the other with a 'targe' which is decorated with a Scottish tartan and clan badge. Gauntlets are 8 inches (20cm) high.

The gauntlets are made of resin and hand painted. They are decorated with a wolf's head, laurel leaves, and doves. The wolf's head is decorated with gold leaf, the doves with silver leaf. The base is mahogany veneered wood, and there is an inscription (maximum 3 words)

The Shield
The shield is metal with a wooden backing. Although the gauntlet is hand painted, the shield is decoated by sublimation, a method of printing on metal. By using this method we are able to decorate a shield with a complex family crest for the same price as a more simple one.

The Targe
The targe measures 5 inches in diameter and is made of wood. There is a metal rim which is studded. The targe is covered in a cloth tartan and there is a clan badge in the centre.

Delivery: expect to receive your gauntlet within 21 days.
